WHAT ARE NRC SEVA KENDRAS?
 

In order to aid and assist the public in enrolling themselves in the NRC updation process ICT (Information Communication Technology) enabled Help Desks named as NRC Seva Kendras (NSKs) are set up across the state. The highlights of the NSKs are:

» 2500 NSKs across the state, one NSK covering an average of 10 villages
» Free assistance to public in Legacy Data (1951 NRC & Pre 1971 Electoral Rolls) search, free print out of Legacy Data extract & Application Form submission
» Receipt of Application Forms.
» Each NSK is equipped with sophisticated software for Legacy Data search in three languages, namely English Assamese and Bengali & besides that, the NSKs also serves as Application receipt center; adequate hardware such as computers, scanners, & furniture are made available for public convenience
» Generators are installed in each NSK to ensure uninterrupted power supply
» 5000 well trained operators in uniform and with ID card in NSKs (2 operators in each NSK)

All the NSKs have started operations starting 27th March, 2015.
